Ángel Rivero Jiménez
Senior Scientist at Repsol Technology Center. Specialized in development of tools for multiphase flow numerical simulations, he is Aeronautical Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Chemical Engineering Doctor from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili from Tarragona (2000). After a year of postdoctoral research in the multiphase flow laboratory of the University of Maryland he works for two years in Airbus Military (EADS) where he supervises aerodynamic tunnel testing campaigns of the motorized A400M. Ángel developed the next 8 years in applied research and consulting in fluid mechanics numerical simulation mainly in chemical, O&G and aeronautical problems, at SIMPPLE, of which he is cofounder. At present Angel develops in Repsol physically consistent methods for the simulation of multicomponent, multiphase flows in systems that incorporate multiscale, porous complex geometry and phase transitions.
Emilio Placer Maruri
Head of Global Pre-development Gas at BSH, leading the gas innovation team for the entire BSH network. His beginnings in industrial electronics were soon enriched and conditioned by his work in the area of chemistry and fluid dynamics, the union of these fields have being the area in which he has developed most of his research “Control Systems for Gas Appliances ”. In the last 18 years he has led applied research and innovation projects, coordinating several projects with Spanish and international universities. Products on the market and his participation in 165 first patent applications support the result of his research activity. He has a doctorate from the University of Cantabria (2016) and combines his research activity in private company with his teaching / research activity at the University of Cantabria. His area of specialization is the management of innovation and knowledge in the business field, with 3 JCR articles published.
