Description | The proposed problem tries to study a very ubiquitous phenomenon such as the formation of bubbles from a chemical reaction. Specifically, the mathematical model, based on phase field theory, must be developed to analyze the dynamics of formation, growth and release of bubbles in a porous medium with flow. In particular we are interested when the reaction is redox, typical of electrolysis, for example and the objective is to refine and extend a current model to get to use it as a basis for a 3D DNS solver of Stokes, multiphase and multicomponent.

Scope | The proposed problem tries to study a very ubiquitous phenomenon such as the formation of bubbles from a chemical reaction (to develop a mathematical model, based on phase field theory).
