"Workshop on Mathematical solutions for Industry: Success stories and perspectives"

Scope of the workshop | Mathematical technology provides advanced solutions to diverse problems encountered in companies in the development of their productive activity. The aim of the "Workshop on Mathematical solutions for Industry: Success stories and perspectives" is to promote the transfer of mathematical technology to companies and institutions, showing the technological solutions provided for each industrial sector and contributing, in turn, to the generation of research and development from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Within this event it is planned to present several successful collaboration examples between research groups and companies from the industrial sectors involved:
  • Energy and Environment.
  • Biomedicine, Pharmacy and Health Care.
  • Economy and Finance.
  • Information and Communication Technology and Logistics.
  • Materials, Aeronautics and Automotive.
Confirmed speakers include representatives of | Instituto Geológico y Minero de España (IGME), Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM), CICEnergiGUNE, Instituto Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT), Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibersitatea (UPV/EHU), Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFI),  Universidade da Coruña (UDC), Banco de Santander, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), Consortium Madrid-MIT M+Visión, Universidad de Valencia (UV), IS3D Engineering, Universidad de les Illes Balears (UIB), Centre Nationale Etudes Spatiales (CNES), Universidade de Vigo (Uvigo), Fundiciones Rey, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), GKN Driveline and Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea (AESA).
Posters Session | We invite you to present a poster  on successful collaboration examples between  research groups in mathematics and companies from the industrial sectors involved in the workshop (but not limited to).
