Scientists at the Research Group of Carbohydrates, Polymers and Additives Industrial, University of Murcia (UMU) have developed a type of plastic that can resist 70 percent more weight and replace, for example, the metal parts of the  garbage's containers, which lowers production costs.
This is a successful research project funded by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and developed by this group of the Faculty of Chemistry of the UMU for the company Rototank S.L., which makes it possible to replace metal parts by plastics components with higher performance and environmentally friendly.
