How to become a member of math-in

math-in has three types of associated members:

  • Type 1: Research groups in the field of Mathematics.
  • Type 2: Legal entities that represent research groups in the field of Mathematics.
  • Companies and institutions.

To become a member, interested groups and/or entities can send the corresponding form to transferencia@math-in.net, completed:

  • Group Adhesion Form
  • Legal Entity Adhesion Form representing research groups
  • Companies and Institutions Adhesion Form

For Type 1 partners, the signing of an Agreement between the university or research center to which the group belongs and math-in will be promoted, which regulates the terms in which the collaboration is established. For Type 2 and 3 partners, the agreement will be signed between the new partner entity and math-in. In all cases, the partners agree to pay an annual fee (€500 / entity). Type 1 partners will also have the right to speak and vote in the General Assemblies and may form part of the governing bodies of math-in.

Advantages of joining

  • Access to periodic information provided exclusively to members, on grants, calls, R&D&i events in the field of Mathematics applied to Industry.
  • Active participation in transfer activities promoted by math-in such as Study Groups, Modeling Weeks, Workshops, etc.
  • The partner research groups can participate in the technological demands formulated by the companies that can be translated into R&D projects/contracts.
  • Access to the European network European Service Network of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation -EU-MATHS-IN- that allows searching for academic or business partners in an agile and direct way in 16 countries of the European Union.
  • Immediate and direct access, with a single interlocutor, to the entire technological portfolio of more than 40 research groups in Mathematics applied to Industry, nationwide.
  • Quick response to the technological needs of companies, facilitating access to the research and technological offer adapted to the specific demand raised. The existence of Collaboration Agreements signed with the Universities to which our partner groups belong will speed up the processing of contracts. Whenever the company requires it, a Non Disclosure Agreement will be signed to guarantee confidentiality.
  • Mobilization of project ideas proposed by companies in events such as conferences or workshops aimed at promoting projects and searching for consortiums.
  • Support in the selection processes of candidates for the company, through the dissemination of vacancies among the members of the Network as well as in the employment portal of the European network EU-MATHS-IN.
  • Other corporate advantages: Type 1 partners will also have the right to speak and vote in the General Assemblies and may form part of the governing bodies of math-in.
