Hulk and I came to IC during the closed beta test. As now, then it was a clone of Dota, with some simplifications (in the spirit of purchasing under towers and simple upgrades of items) and heroes from DC comics as characters. The roster was quite meager, but we understood that this was just the beginning.
In fact, this was our first normal experience in mobs, so we were usually decompressed, but we fought as best we could. Despite defeat after defeat, we enjoyed the process. And most importantly, when playing on a European server, the ping was normal, and Russian players were encountered extremely rarely, and if they were encountered, most of them were adequate. In addition to the standard three lines, there was a round map on which you had to keep points, which added variety. There were no signs of trouble..
Weeks and months went by and there was still no new content. People began to slowly leave the game. Therefore, a couple of times when we couldn’t find a match, we had to look at Russian servers. The sensations after them can be correlated with when you stepped in shit. Everyone swears at each other, although they don’t know how to play themselves, no teamwork or respect. The first time we went there, in the FIRST 10 MINUTES, they started writing to us about mothers. Any comment or advice was answered with insults.
A little about the characters of https://chat-mag-bingo-casino.co.uk/bonus/ the game, from one of the authors of TheLIG – GreenHulk
When Infinite Crisis came out, I had very little experience playing MOBs. So infinite was actually the first MOB I played at a conscious age. And at first I really liked her. In addition to the beloved DC heroes, there was one significant plus that distinguished it from all other comic book games – a system of parallel Universes. There were several parallel Universes in Infinite, some of which were invented by the creators of the game themselves. Among them are the Atomic Universe, the DSish Fallout, where humanity is slowly recovering from a nuclear war, the Magic Universe, where it is still the Middle Ages and the world is ruled by magic, the Nightmare, where terrible things happened to superheroes and they turned into monsters, the Mechanical, where all the superheroes are robots, the Steampunk, where the world is stuck in the late 19th century, and the ordinary, where all the characters we are familiar with live. And every character from the regular universe had an analogue in another. For example, Batman from the familiar universe, an assassin by class, in the Steampunk universe he ran with two sonic pistols and was a shooter, and in the Nightmare universe he was generally a vampire, but also first an assassin and then a melee fighter. And it seemed that each added character would also receive an analogue in another universe with completely different abilities, and more than one. Initially, the main characters of the DC universe, t.e. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern – received 2 versions each. NOT so famous, like Poison Ivy, one by one. Some, like Flash and Shazam, didn’t get one. It was strange, but I thought they would add more in the future. But then some new characters, like Zatanna, Blue Beetle or Atrocitus, stopped getting versions in other universes altogether. I know of only a few exceptions – they added one version each to the Joker, Supergirl and Robin. Why them and what is the logic here, I don’t know. However, after them they didn’t add anything to anyone at all. And strange things began with the addition of characters. For some reason, the game developers began introducing little-known heroes into the game instead of more popular characters. Examples – Krypto, Superman’s dog, Stargirl, about whom I myself know little, Starro, Superman’s enemy from space and Katana, Batman’s partner from the new cartoon. And most of the Infinite audience was unhappy. Why didn’t the developers add famous characters who are very popular to the game?? For example, Lex Luthor, Bane, Two-Face, Darkseid, Ra’s al Ghul, Professor Zoom? Luthor was eventually added at the very end of the game, but it didn’t really change anything. Most of it still hasn’t been added. The only thing that pleased me in the last period of the game was the addition of Grundy, but only because the character is not bad. And then it became known that they would never add it because the game was closing. And I felt very sad. By and large, initially this was the only MOBA that I really liked. It had everything – favorite characters, a bunch of universes with their own versions of heroes, interesting abilities and exciting matches. Unfortunately, in the end it all descended into outright horror. But I will still remember and miss Infinite Crisis.
New characters were added, but these were, for the most part, variations of already familiar heroes and villains from parallel universes that only the most hardcore comic book fans know. From the start we asked ourselves: “Where is Lex Luthor?? Where is Deathstroke? Bane? And other comrades, beautifully revealed in Injustice?». But in return they only received Atomic Joker and Nightmare Robin. Dragovich, who joined us on our crayfish hunts, lost patience when Katana and Krypto were added to the game. In general, why do we need new characters when we can make paid skins, right?? As a result, people continued to leave, and the average time to search for a match on the European server reached 15 minutes.
This is where Turbine made a fatal mistake (even though there wasn’t much choice). Due to the small number of players, they combined Russian and European servers. Yes, yes, mother lovers were released to normal people. This is as elegant a solution as pissing in a drying well to stop the drying up. Everyone on the forum complained. Russians complained about Europeans because they wrote in incomprehensible English. Europeans are in Russian because they only write in Russian, don’t understand English and don’t know how to play. Russians against Russians, in principle, for the same thing. The number of schoolchildren encountering the English wall of misunderstanding and crying after one or two deaths has increased to incredible heights. What made Europeans leave the game even more actively?. And this is still before release!
Only after the start of the open beta, Turbine completed the tutorial. It’s not that this somehow improved the playing skills of the majority of the server population, but people now at least approximately understood what they wanted from them. Characters were still added VERY RARELY. And so, on March 27, the game reached release, essentially stillborn. And only a handful of Russians and a few Poles remained in it. Finally they add Lex Luthor, then Solomon Grundy, but this doesn’t help either. And the developers decided to take desperate measures – they decided to leave only one mode, one map. And again, not Gotham Divided, which is the canonical 3 tracks, but Coast City Marina, where there are two unequal tracks, three points that need to be captured and a healthy parasha, which upon death drops an item that is used to summon a laser strike from space.
In essence, a crowd of people who do not quite understand what cooperation is was closed on the map where cooperation is most important. But if they only left Gotham Divided, everything wouldn’t be so bad. Although, not a fact. Just recently, in one of the matches, our opponents moved around the map at random, went on an attack alone against three characters two levels higher and simply died like flies. Now the servers are more like the Capital Wasteland. There are few people, and those that exist hate each other fiercely. It was the last month of the crisis..
