Fernando Alonso Díaz, CEO of The Basement

A mathematics graduate from UAM with a postgraduate degree in Blockchain and a master’s in Research and Marketing. His professional career has always been close to the creation of AI-based platforms in various leadership positions related to Innovation and Technology in multinationals such as Ipsos, Publicis, and Omnicom. He has also worked as a collaborating professor at UFV. At The Basement, he has focused on steering the company towards technological innovation and AI, developing MaaS and Parksharing solutions: Zerel.

Manuel Quero García, CEO of SUNNTICS.
PhD in Industrial Mathematics from Cranfield University in the UK. Degree in Mathematics, specializing in Differential Equations and Numerical Analysis, from the University of Seville.
Co-founder of SUNNTICS in 2017. His technical responsibilities include component modelling and development of Artificial Intelligence based optimization methods for non-convex problem-solving.
He previously worked as an R&D project manager at Abengoa. His work ranged from conceptual ideas of new solar thermal technologies to their pre-commercial development.
He worked at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where he was responsible for developing complex physics-based algorithms for resolving complex non-convex problems.

Pablo Angulo Ardoy, The Basement Head of Science and Research

A graduate in Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid, MS in Mathematics from Rutgers University, and PhD in Mathematics from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He completed a postdoc at ICMAT working on inverse problems, and was a professor at UPM from 2016 to 2023, focusing on inverse problems, industry transfer, and route optimization. Since 2023, he has been working at The Basement, developing the ‘blindshooter’ model for audience estimation, the DYNAMO project on multimodal transport with shared private vehicles, and the ZERO project on inclusive mobility.

Rocío Mingorance Mingorance, SUNNTICS Head of Algorithms and Processes.

She has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the UGR, a master’s degree in industrial maintenance and is studying for her PhD in “Digital twins for process plants”. Her working life is oriented to maintaining and operating industrial plants, having worked in multinationals such as Abengoa and Cosentino. He has also worked as a legal maintenance person for the solar thermal power plant Andasol 3. At SUNNTICS, he has focused on developing and implementing ML and AI models to improve the design and operability of solar thermal tower plants, along with developing solutions such as SunnSaaS and SSPARC.
